A recent dress code violation within the Belvidere school district has students and parents angered.

More than 400 comments found their way to a post written by someone who outwardly referred to themself as a "Karen" but there's a good chance she's anything but, based on the situation.

Here is BNHS' dress code, according to their student handbook.

Clothing must cover areas from one armpit across to the other armpit, down to approximately 3 to 4 inches in length on the upper thighs.

Tops must have shoulder straps. Rips or tears in clothing should be lower than the 3 to 4 inches in length and no undergarments should be visible.

Shoes must be worn at all times and should be safe for the school environment.

Headgear including hats, hoodies, caps, or other coverings are not allowed unless permitted for religious, medical, or other reasons by school administration.

Specialized courses may require specialized attire, such as sports uniform or safety gear.

The outfit in question was not specified for being regular attire or gym class attire but, either way, school officials did not approve of her clothing.

Not only did it spark the attention of students, but also parents.

As a parent, I see nothing wrong with this wardrobe. (Maybe I'm a Karen too.) Hopefully, school officials take note of the ridiculousness of making an issue out of this outfit.
