They way you shop online with your MasterCard will completely change.

When I first heard that MasterCard was going to launch selfie authenticity instead of passwords, I laughed so hard.

This couldn't be true right? I mean, every time I want to make a purchase online you want me to take a selfie!? That is just weird! But the more I thought about it, it's genius.

According to CNN, facial and voice recognition along with fingerprint scans are safer and more secure options to the normal user created password.

Voice recognition and fingerprint scans are cool and all, but can we talk about the selfie, please?

With this new security measure, each time MasterCard users make a purchase online, they will have to upload a selfie to make sure it is actually them making the purchase.

Now, I'm thinking, what if I just continue to upload a photo I have on my phone that I look super cute in because well, I don't want MasterCard to see me in my pajamas looking all scary trying to purchase a cat t-shirt, drunk at 2 in the morning?

Answer, it's not going to work. Why? Because the scan will verify the photo you submitted is a legitimate selfie and not a previously taken photo. Also, the app will require users to blink when they take their own photo.

If you are a MasterCard user and want to try the selfie authentication now, all you have to do is download a special MasterCard app called Identity Check.

Happy selfie purchasing!
