I couldn't imagine adding something like this on top of everything else that is going on at the moment.

Several Loves Park families have lost everything Wednesday night when a three-story multi-family apartment, 6011 John Court, caught fire.

A call went in at around 5:30p with crews responding within two minutes because there were reports of someone possibly being trapped inside. Thankfully after investigation firefighters found no one inside.

Someone had shared a video from the scene on Facebook and I can only imagine what was going through the minds of all involved. It's a scary situation, to say the least.

Please be advised that there are some let's just say colorful words in the video (which is to be expected if you think about it), so if you're watching at work or around others you might want to turn the volume down.

Rockford Register Star later posted one after the blaze had been extinguished.

The one good thing was no one was taken into the hospital for any serious injuries. Ambulances on the scene treated two residents who had minor injuries.

We'll keep you all posted on if and when a fundraiser is put together for these families affected by the fire.
