How the Prairie Farms Contamination Happened
It appears the issue traces back to the Prairie Farms' facility in Dubuque, Iowa. Officials say a single production window was impacted, and around 320 gallons were sent out before the mistake was caught. Nevertheless, those gallons were delivered to 18 Woodman's stores across both states.

What Milk Is Included in the Recall
The good news is that only one type of Prairie Farms milk is part of the recall. Customers are being asked to check for gallon-sized Prairie Farms Fat Free Milk with a December 8, 2025, best-by date, UPC 7273023117, and plant code PLT19-145. Anyone who has a jug of milk that matches the numbers is warned not to drink it and advised to throw it out or return it to the store for a refund.
