The Illinois Flower Festival Every Fall-Lover Needs to Visit

I make zero apologies for the fact that I love the fall season.

As soon as the kids head back to school and the temps begin to cool down, my brain goes into full-on fall mode, and that means I'm hunting for the best seasonal decor and fun events to take my family to in Illinois.

Typically my family's fall road trips don't take us beyond an hour from the Rockford area, but I think I need to make an exception this fall to check out Mum Fest at Mariah's Mums & More in Clinton, Illinois.

What Is Mum Fest?

Mariah's Mums & More is located just over 2 hours south of the Rockford area near Decatur, and if you love the fall season too, Mum Fest looks like it's well worth the drive!

Here are three reasons why:

1. Mariah's Mums & More has the largest selection of fall mums in the entire state of Illinois. (The farm features over 20,000 fall mums in all colors and varieties!)
2. There's a farm market, live music, U-cut flowers, handmade market vendors, kids activities, food trucks and other yummy eats.

Mum Fest at Mariah's Mums & More takes place for two days only, September 6 and 7 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and admission is free.
