If you're looking for an interesting city adventure, take a ride on the 'L" train in Chicago, because you never know what you'll experience.

Wanted Illinois Man Attracts Attention To Himself On Train And Gets Arrested

I've been riding the commuter trains in and out of Chicago since I was a little kid. That includes many trips on the "L." The reason I specifically bring up that line is that it's always an adventure. You never know what you'll witness. Nothing surprises me anymore. One time, I saw a guy eating shrimp out of a big plastic grocery bag that was sitting on the seat next to him. When he got off, he just left it there. So bizarre.

According to Fox 32 Chicago...

On May 31, police saw Kenneth Stapleton, 43, on a Red Line train stopped at 69th Street Station around 2:35 p.m. as they were doing premises checks. According to officials, Stapleton was rolling a cigar with a green leafy substance, a violation of Chicago Transit Authority rules.

Under that category, you never know what you'll see on the "L." Recently, a passenger was rolling up a big old blunt to smoke. While he was in the process, a couple of police officers were patrolling the cars and arrested him. Even though cannabis is legal in Illinois, what the suspect was doing is not. When the cops searched him, they found he was carrying an illegal gun. Of course, weapons aren't allowed on the train.

This guy is stacking up an impressive list of offenses, but there is more, and it's a big one. The suspect was a wanted man. There was a warrant out for his arrest for a prior forgery case. Not a bad bust for these cops who thought it was a simple weed situation. There is a valuable lesson to be learned. If you're on the run from the law, don't do stupid things to attract attention to yourself.
