Weather Forecast for Northern Illinois
My favorite word every year around this time is,
UNSEASONABLE.
Nothing gets me more excited in mid-late February than a forecast that includes temperatures that will be above what's to be expected this time of the season.
Monday, daytime temperatures reached the 40s and it was just the opening act for what's to come.
Temps will likely climb into the 50s by Tuesday, and into the with temps in the mid-to-upper 50s by Wednesday.
According to the National Weather Service, these temperatures
"are 5-10 degrees above typical values for this time of year."
You just can't beat this warmth plus all of this sunshine. This case of cabin fever has got me itching to get some road trips on the calendar.

Unfortunately, on Wednesday there's a chance of a scattered shower, but it's a small chance.
Clouds are back on Thursday and Friday, bringing a little dip in the temperatures. Upper-40s on Thursday, then dropping into the upper-30s and low-40s on Friday and Saturday.
But, take a look at what's coming by the end of the weekend and Monday next week. Back to the mid-50s on Sunday and 60 degrees on Monday, both days with more sun than clouds.
