One of the ‘Best Pizzas in the World’ is Made in Illinois

What better way to celebrate National Pizza Week than by talking about one of the world's best pizzas?

If you wanted to consult any list featuring the finest slices of pie in America, you'd find this Illinois restaurant.

If this joint isn't included, you should seriously reconsider checking out any other place on the list.

For what it's worth, this restaurant is only scoring a 3.9 out of 5 on Yelp so I might be wrong but when it comes to pizza I am usually not.

Anyway, Enjoy Travel, listed their 50 Best Pizzas in the World and they included Pequod's Pizza.

Caramelised crust. Need we say more? These buttery deep-dish pizzas are loaded with the perfect balance of gooey cheese and sweet tomato sauce, topped with spicy salamis, and finished with their signature caramelised crust. You don’t need to take our word for it, these pizzas are legendary.

Hard to disagree with their claim that the food is something of legend. Pequod's is a place people from far and wide travel just to try.

Jada C. on Yelp calls her experience at Pequod's "Very hearty and fulfilling pan pizza" and they "enjoyed it a lot and would recommend to anyone staying in Chicago."

Kristine G. feels differently and was disappointed Pequod's didn't meet expectations saying "We had to wait, I believe 1 hour 45 mins for a pizza and when we got it, it wasn't even as amazing as we were anticipating it to be."
