Here’s Every Illinois Guy Fieri Triple D Spot That Closed Up Shop
Guy Fieri sure has visited plenty of restaurants in Illinois.
According to TV Food Maps, Fieri's immensely popular show Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives has been filmed at 40 restaurants in the Land of Lincoln.

Of the 40 that have been visited by Guy in Illinois, nine of those restaurants have closed up, like:
- Frosted Mug, 11541 South Pulaski Road in Alsip
- Galewood Cookshack, 2135 North Milwaukee Avenue in Chicago
- The Depot American Diner, 5840 West Roosevelt Road in Chicago
- Nana Organic, 3267 South Halsted Street in Chicago
- Glenn's Diner, 1820 West Montrose Avenue in Chicago
- Panozzo's Italian Market, 1303 South Michigan Avenue in Chicago
- Chicago Brauhaus, 4732 North Lincon Avenue in Chicago
- Cemitas Puebla, 817 West Fulton Market Avenue in Chicago
- BIG & little's Restaurant, 1034 West Belmont Avenue in Chicago
I'm no mathematician, but nearly 25% of Illinois joints featured on Triple D have closed since the Mayor of Flavortown came for a visit.
Is it simply due to restaurants going out of business all the time, or could it be that those places couldn't handle the newfound fame? It might be a bit of both.
Regardless, these places are gone, and while most restaurants close up shop after five years, you'd think the boost Guy would give a restaurant would stave off closures.
While these locations didn't last long, here are 50 chain restaurants that will not go out of business soon.
