One of the more exciting things to happen in Iowa during the holiday season is when we get a visit from the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train. The train is making a return to our area in November but can be seen in other spots around the state and region.

Canadian Pacific Holiday Train Celebrates 25 Years

It's coming back. The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train will return to eastern Iowa right at the start of the holiday season.

The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train, which began in 1999, is celebrating its 25th anniversary. Since its inception, the train has raised more than $22.5 million and more than 5 million pounds of food for community food banks across North America.

The 2023 CPKC Holiday Train tours Canada and the United States beginning November 20 through December 19.

Professional musicians performing for free during this year's tour include Seaforth, Kiesza, Tenille Townes, Breland, Dallas Smith, and MacKenzie Porter.
