This bulletin from just a few days ago (November 21, 2023) comes from the Centers for Disease Control. It's a listeria outbreak that affects many states including Illinois involving peaches, plums and nectarines.

So far, 11 illnesses have been connected to listeria in these recalled fruit products resulting in 10 hospitalizations and 1 death including sickness in Illinois. Here are the recalled fruit products. It has also reportedly been connected to early pre-term labor.

Listeria is a dangerous bacteria that can become serious for "newborns, adults aged 65 or older, and people with weakened immune systems" according to the CDC.
