I will be looking at any quarter that I find in the future now and I predict you might, too. There is one 2003 Illinois quarter that is apparently worth $100,000 if it has a certain grade and flaw.

This is a brand new video share from Coin NG on YouTube that shows a rather innocent looking 2003 Illinois quarter that was part of the 50 states series. Watch closely for the flaw that makes it worth a fortune.

Here are things to look for. First of all, you need the "D" series which means it was minted in Denver and you also need to look for this flaw in Abraham Lincoln's beard.

You also need the coin to be in decent condition meaning the grade would need to be high for it to have the ultimate value.

This coin in particular caught my eye since most money I've seen that has this kind of crazy value goes back a century and are almost never seen. I have seen a zillion of these Lincoln Illinois quarters over the years and now wonder if I might have overlooked something that could have been worth life-changing money.
