How to describe what the forecast for Missouri weather in December will be like? Hmm. Think Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde or Two-Face in the Batman series. December weather in Missouri looks to have two wildly different personalities. According to the National Weather Service, the first half of the month should be outstanding.

Warmer and mild temps through probably December 12 sounds pretty good. But wait, that's just the first half. What awaits later in December? Brace yourself.

POW Ponder on Weather on YouTube took a look at models for later in December and he sees NOAA's Climate Prediction Center saying Missouri will get absolutely frozen by an Arctic blast by at least the week of December 21. This map shows expected temperatures and you're seeing it right. Those are below-zero temps for Missouri.

Expect the first part of December to be mild and the second half to freeze everything. The wildcard now is if precipitation will accompany that Arctic blast later in December. If so, you might just get a white Christmas after all.
