At some point in your life, you've probably had to take one of those late night jobs. Most of the time they're boring and uneventful, but every now and then you'll have something strange happen. That occurred for one Illinois security guard at a remote lumberyard when late one shift he heard a loud 'howl' and then began to smell blood and that's when his life almost went off the rails.

Based on the description shared in the video, this encounter of the strange kind happened late one night in northern Illinois at a remote lumberyard. It was told by a security guard who was expecting a boring night, but got something else entirely. The tale was told by famous YouTuber Lilith Dread.

The guard said that night the shift began with an unusual feeling of uneasiness. Something in the air wasn't right and after a couple hours, that feeling was proven right when he heard what he described as a howl, but it didn't sound like it was coming from a dog. He reluctantly stepped out of the control room with flashlight in hand to go investigate. He felt a chill.

The small flashlight seemed insufficient as he surveyed the lumberyard where the howl now seemed more like a growl. His light suddenly came upon something large at the end of the lumberyard. It was a massive 8 foot being that he claimed had a mix of brown and black hair and what he could see of the face looked like a combination of dog and demonic. He also smelled the hint of blood.

Remembering his training, he didn't break eye contact with...whatever it was...and slowly backed away until he could retreat back into the control room. The being did not pursue him, but he continued to hear unexplained sounds the rest of that night and found himself jumping at shadows from that point forward.

What did his flashlight reveal that light night in the lumberyard? Was it a figment of an imagination trying to deal with what was normally a boring overnight shift or something paranormal that would be waiting for him?
