This hole-in-the-wall restaurant is the best place to go after that long night out.

For Illinois residents that place is Ray's Family Restaurant in Elgin, Illinois. Now, this place knows a thing or two about breakfast because they have been in business for over 40 years. MSN found 50 of the best hole-in-the-wall places to go in each state for breakfast and Ray's is that one for Illinois.

While there can be a line, you’ll be treated to impeccable service and breakfast favorites like skillet combinations with everything from corn beef hash and chorizo to biscuit gravy, to golden pancakes and stuffed omelets.

I couldn't find an actual menu online, but according to Yelp, they had all the favorites and then some. I love that this is a family restaurant and you can walk in not all dolled up for the morning and get fueled on biscuits & gravy, eggs, steak & eggs, and (what they call) the Farmer's Casserole.
