For some reason, roundabouts are a touchy topic in Minnesota. It seems like people either hate them or have some sort of strong opinion on them. No matter how you feel about them, there is an entire week dedicated to roundabouts every September.
Yes, this seems a bit excessive but I guess there really are days and weeks for everything these days. While National Roundabout Week doesn't happen for a few more months, I did see a tweet that I thought was interesting.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation shared this tweet last year during National Roundabout Week and it all has to do with how many roundabouts are in Minnesota. The answer? That would be more than 400!

According to the Minnesota Department of Transportation, the first one opened in 1995 and people have been passionate about them ever since. Ha! The tweet continues with some good news: they have saved lives and saved people from serious injury.
The responses to this tweet were funny. Like I said, people really are super passionate about roundabouts. They either love them or they hate them. Whichever side of the fence they fall, they voice their opinion.
