Oh my gosh! I can't believe it! It's finally happening!

The Black Hawk statue, the Eternal Indian, is unwrapped!

WTVO, Channel 17 was there this morning for the unveiling!

Thanks to the newly passed budget, funds have been released to finish the restoration of this iconic statue along the Rock River in Oregon.

This is a really happy day to see things FINALLY happening for this landmark.

It's been so long from seeing that ugly scaffolding then that nasty black trash bag tarp.

Fingers crossed this restoration gets done quickly and the Chief can once again overlook the river and visitors will no longer be disappointed in not getting to see him.
