In Wisconsin, officials long have fought a losing battle against drivers stopping to steal signs marking Bong Recreational Area.

A similar fight is about to come to an end in Idaho. Highway officials there are taking action, replacing "Mile 420" signs along Highway 95's with one that reads "Mile 419.9."

Supposed pot-enthusiasts stoners have been stealing milepost 420 signs in several states, reports The Associated Press.

The move is an attempt to curb potential thieves from stealing the sign.

The new sign in Idaho sits just south of Coeur d'Alene. You can find more about the wonderfully scenic Bong Recreactional Area here.
