Geoff Shepard Says America Owes Nixon an Apology [AUDIO]

We were joined on the show this week by author Geoff Shepard to talk about his new book, The Real Watergate Scandal: Collusion, Conspiracy and the Plot That Brought Nixon Down.

New discoveries by Shepard, once the youngest lawyer of Nixon’s defense team, show how the prosecutors at the Watergate trial abused the system to rig the outcome. He claims shocking violations of ethical and legal standards colored the proceedings of the trial. The book exposes secret meetings, secret documents and secret collusion between judges and prosecutors culminating in Nixon’s resignation.

Forty years after the fact, Shepard uncovers never-before-seen notes from secret meetings with the judge that bring into question the legality of actions and the guilt of those they prosecuted.
