Free Ice Cream This Sunday With Winnebago Buy Local

If I ask, "Who wants free ice cream?" everybody's hand goes up in the air, right? Well, here's your opportunity.

All are invited to the Second Annual Totally Local Ice Cream Social. It's hosted by Winnebago Buy Local and takes place Sundae (get it?), July 20 from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at the Lombardi Club, 209 Olive Street, Rockford, IL.

You'll enjoy locally made ice cream from Rockton’s Dairy Haus plus toppings provided by other local businesses to make your favorite concoctions. Or mix your own Root Beer Float, if you like. There also will be music, a photo booth, and children’s entertainment too.

Admission is free, though donations will be accepted to help offset the costs of promoting local business. Winnebago Buy Local also will be holding a school supplies drive at the event for Rock House Kids. They're asking for notebook paper, crayons, pencils, and other items to help local school-aged children in need.
