Fans of the Wizard of Oz are excited about the first-ever official traveling educational exhibit coming to a library in Illinois.

It seems like I've been seeing a lot about the Wizard of Oz in Illinois lately. Of course in the summertime, many towns throughout the state have an outdoor movie night for families. Several of them feature the Wizard of Oz. Recently, I discover Oz Park in Chicago which is themed after the movie. Find out more about that, HERE. Now, I found out about a library that is hosting a Wizard of Oz exhibit.
Illinois Library Welcomes Wizard Of Oz Exhibit
We’re off to see The Wizard of Oz, as Gail Borden Library hosts the first-ever, licensed traveling educational exhibit based on the beloved movie classic.
Created by MCM and licensed by Warner Bros. Consumer Products, this interactive fantasy-adventure takes children and families over the rainbow.
Details About The Wizard Of Oz Traveling Exhibit
This very special Wizard of Oz exhibit is at the Gail Borden Public Library in Elgin, Illinois (270 North Grove Avenue). It will be there now until August 29th. It is free to enter. The hours are Monday through Thursday from 9 am to 9 pm. On Friday and Saturday from 9 am to 6 pm. Sunday from Noon to 5 pm.
On your visit, some of the things you will experience are Gale Farm, Land of Oz, Professor Marvel’s Wagon, create your own tornado, Dorothy’s bedroom, Munchkin houses, Scarecrow, Cowardly Lion, Tin Man, Emerald City, create Horse of a Different Color, play with kaleidoscope and prism, Ruby Slipper, The Crossroads, Witch’s Castle, and more.
