A former volunteer firefighter from Orangeville is going to prison, for setting fires.

WIFR-TV is reporting that Wednesday, Kenneth Grabow, age 21, will go to prison for four and half years, as a result of fires he admitted to setting in Stephenson County between April 14-19, 2016.

Grabow was a volunteer firefighter with Orangeville Fire Dept since August of 2015. He was charged with arson and criminal damage to property. The fires were set at an abandoned house and three barns in the Orangeville area. Grabow was accused of throwing lit cigarettes to start two of the fires. He pleaded guilty to the charges in court in January.

Grabow will be responsible to pay restitution for the damages he caused by setting the fires.
