Drive-Thru Flu Shots Are A Thing Because It’s 2017
No #fakenews here, just a way to stay healthy without getting out of your vehicle. Just about everything food-related, medicine, and even gas station items can be picked up through a drive-thru around the Rockford. Now you can get a flu shot on-the-go, too.
The flu shot (a quadrivalent vaccine that protects against 4 strains of influenza) will cost you $28 if you're under 65. You must show your ID and those under 18 will not be able to get the shot via the drive-thru.
If you're over 65, you will receive a high-dose version of the vaccine ($62). There will be no out-of-pocket expense if you are covered by Medicare Part B (please present Medicare card) or a Medicare HMO accepted by FHN (covered persons MUST present the Medicare HMO card instead of the Medicare card for the billing process).
There are scenarios that advise against getting a flu shot at this location due to allergies and other medical conditions, click here for more information.
