Closed For Christmas: Only Three Rockford Stores Will Be Open December 25
If you need to do some shopping on Christmas, you might want to get it done beforehand.
That's because it looks like (and rightfully so) just about everywhere in Rockford will be closed for Christmas in 2021.
Target, closed. Walmart, also closed.
Best Buy, Costco, HomeGoods, Marshalls, and Home Depot. Yep, they're all closed too.
That only leaves about three places open (minus gas stations), that will be ready for business on Christmas Day.
I believe that might have something to do with the fact people need to get medications. That explains why Walgreens and CVS are both open. I wouldn't expect regular hours so plan accordingly.
Then there's Casey's. It's where you can go to fill up the gas tank and your belly at the same time.
Taking a closer look at the Casey's website reveals that all of the Rockford area locations will be open at 10 a.m. on Christmas Day. Apparently resuming regular hours the day after opening at 4 a.m.
The wildest of the bunch is Starbucks. Apparently, Starbucks will be open in different locations across the US but according to Country Living "hours will vary."
However, looking at the Starbucks website, every one of their stores in Rockford will be, in fact, closed on Christmas Day. If you really need a mochaccino frappe fix and live in Rockford, you'll have to drive to Sycamore in order to get one.
So there you have it, the three stores that will be for sure open on Christmas Day.
If you do venture into one of these three stores on Christmas, please be nice to the employees. Keep in mind, they are spending the holiday working to serve you.
The last thing they want for Christmas is an angry customer.
