‘Ask The Mayor’ Highlights: Morrissey on Rockford’s Budget [AUDIO]

In the March edition of ‘Ask the Mayor,’ Rockford Mayor Larry Morrissey was asked about his recent comments about the possibility of laying off police officers if local funding from Springfield is cut without police & fire pension reforms.

The Mayor said the city already has dropped 70 employees over the past five years or so, but operational costs still have increased due to pension escalation and other factors:
