‘American Pickers’ Returning To Rockford Area

Rockford area collectors might want to prepare for their time in the spotlight. That's because Mike and Frank from American Pickers are returning to the region this summer and they're looking for leads.

Mike Wolfe, Frank Fritz and the Antique Archaeology team will tape episodes throughout Illinois in the near future. If you haven't seen the show, American Pickers is a documentary series that explores the world of antique ‘picking’. If you're not careful, you might learn a thing or two about American history along the way. Episodes air on the History Channel.

The Pickers are on the hunt for interesting characters with interesting and unique items. Here's some of what they look for: vintage bicycles, toys, unusual radios, movie memorabilia, advertising, military items, folk art, vintage musical equipment, vintage automotive items, early firefighting equipment, vintage clothing, pre-50s western gear.

Please note that Mike and Frank only pick private collections. That means no stores, malls, flea markets, museums, auctions, businesses or anything open to the public.
