• A Stateline doctor has pleaded not guilty to fraud charges. 59-year-old Charles DeHaan has been charged with nine counts of engaging in a scheme to defraud medicare and has been accused of having sexual contact with his patients. Each of the nine counts of fraud carries a maximum of ten years in prison plus a fine of up to $250,000. A status hearing is set for April 3rd.
  • Three people have been arrested on drug charges after a search at a Rockford home.  1100 grams of marijuana and a hand-gun were recovered in the operation . Warren Burgett, Joseph Walker and Kaitlynn Shilmon have all been charged with possession with intent to deliver. It happened after officials executed a search warrant Wednesday Evening in the 1700 block of Mobile Home Avenue.
  • Students and staff had to evacuate East High School today after a false fire alarm. Everyone is safe and all operations are back to normal.
  • The Rockford Rescue Mission has taken home a prestigious honor. They were the 2014 Charity Organization Recipient of $10,000, presented by the Rockford New Car Dealers Association. This event has been running for 19 years and has given away $190,000 to Rockford Organizations.
  • The city of Chicago has already spent $25 million for snow removal this winter. Officials say they're $4.5 million over what it had budgeted, but a spokeswoman says it will continue to make sure streets are plowed. More than five feet of snow has fallen so far this winter.
  • The spread of a virus that's killed millions of pigs across the country has caused Wisconsin officials to impose new restrictions on showing swine at county fairs this year. As a result, officials have banned the spring weigh-in for pigs that will be shown at summer fairs. The PEDv virus has been found in 23 states which has killed almost 4 million pigs since the virus first surfaced in April 2013.
