• The Dixon Police Department is seeking your help on two recent burglaries.
    The first occurred New Year's Day at a local supermarket. Police say the burglars stole tobacco products and lottery tickets. The second one happened this morning at a downtown business, where beauty products and electronic equipment were stolen. Anyone with information is urged to call Dixon Police.
  • A Janesville woman has died after a three-vehicle traffic crash on North U.S. Highway 51. 69-year-old Shirley Bailey of Madison died as of result of the crash that was related to slippery road conditions. Janesville authorities received the call just before 11am this morning. The driver of the southbound vehicle sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital. At this point no citations have been issued and the investigation is ongoing.
  • Milton Police need the public's help to find an elderly man missing since Wednesday. 80-year-old Allen Brown was last seen driving south on HWY 59 from Monroe to Illinois around 4:30pm.  Police say Brown met a friend in Monticello and was supposed to return home in Milton, but he never did. Brown is driving a 2013 Ford Explorer with Wisconsin license plates "60YRS".   Anyone with information is asked to call the Milton Police.
  • Rockford authorities say that the Asher Tool fire may have been started by a marijuana growing operation inside the building.  Fire officials confirm to our partners at 'Eyewitness News' they are looking into that possibility based on a tip Winnebago County Sheriff's Detectives. They say the tip was received two weeks ago about the possibility of a marijuana growing operation being performed at the Plant. A news conference is taking place.
  • A winter tradition will be returning to Rockford this year. The 29th Annual Illinois Snow Sculpting Competition is taking place at Sinnissippi Park next week. State teams will begin sculpting at 7 a.m. on Wednesday. Sculpting will end at 10 a.m. on Friday at which time judging will occur.
  • Governor-elect Bruce Rauner is visiting some smaller Illinois communities the next two days on what's being called the "Ready to Work Tour." He's flying around to Byron, Casey, Grayville and Benton today. Rauner takes the oath of office Monday.
  • Governor Pat Quinn's administration has only a few more days to reveal who will get medical marijuana licenses before Quinn gives way to Bruce Rauner. The governor-elect has criticized the selection process as too secretive. Illinois has collected millions in non-refundable fees from applicants.
