If you enjoy getting grub from food trucks then there are 5 upcoming festivals that are all about those culinary fests on wheels that you really don't want to miss.

Wrap your summer up with food from all kinds of trucks at these local festivals that really aren't that far from Rockford.

Most about an hour or so from the Forest City. That's doable especially when you can nosh on tasty food right?

I came across these 5 Food Truck festivals in the Daily Herald and I thought how fun it would be to make a stop at all of them or least couple before our weather gets too cold and cruddy to enjoy being outdoors.

Here they are in date specific order. I thought I'd make it easier for you to plan munchy lunch and dinner dates.

"Grand Victoria Casino's Food Truck Fest from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 10, in Festival Park, 132 S. Grove Ave., Elgin, IL" Admission is free. There will be over 30 food truck's to dine from. Including tacos, hot dogs, lobster, shaved ice,  donuts egg rolls and more! Plus, they offer free parking and free valet service too.

The Village of Lincolnshire's "Food Truck Fridays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. every other Friday (the last two remaining Friday dates are Aug. 17th and 31st) in the parking lot of the Lincolnshire Corporate Center, 300 Knightsbridge Parkway." Admission is free. You can chow down on BBQ, Toasty cheese and tacos, and more.

"Truck Off Woodstock returns from 5-9 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, on the historic Woodstock Square."  Admission is free. You check out all the yumminess whle enjoying the quaint, historical and movie worthy square in Woodstock. Here you can chomp down kettle corn, chocolate, ice cream, Pierogi's, cheese, and more.

Highland Park's "Food Truck Thursdays with Music in the Park from 4:30 p.m. to dusk every Thursday [now] through Sept. 13 on Dean Avenue, between Roger Williams Avenue and St. John's Avenue, and in Jens Jensen Park, 486 Roger Williams Ave." Admission is free, there's live music every thursday to listen to while eating tasty foods of the Italian and Latin flair. Including donuts, pizza, coffee, beer, wine and cocktails too.

"Hanover Township will host the Second Annual Fall Food Truck Festival from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, on the William Tiknis Campus, 250 S. Route 59, Bartlett, IL" Featuring "food, carnival games,live music" and even a climbing wall. You can dine on ice cream, barbecue, pierogi's, etc.. they'll even have a beer and wine tent too!
