2018 Was A Record Setting Year For Rockford Area Crime Stoppers
The program designed to help the community got it's biggest boost from the community with over 800 tips to law enforcement.
Through tips, law enforcement seized nearly $1.5 million dollars in narcotics, plus more than $325,000 in property and cash. That's compared to about $76,000 in narcotics in 2017, and with property and cash, around $286,000.

The tips lead to 802 arrests and law enforcement seized $1,472,198 worth of drugs. Those tips solved:
975 cases
4 murders
4 arsons
35 burglaries
Rockford Area Crime Stoppers funding comes through donations only, no tax dollars are used in the paying of cash rewards.
