Inside this abandoned Bonanza Steakhouse in Illinois, you will not believe what they found.

Do You Remember Bonanza Steakhouse?

I remember when I was a kid, my parents would go out to dinner every Friday night. Most of the time I would go with them. It was a family meal night out. We would rotate each week and hit several different places in and around the town where I grew up.

One of the places I looked forward to visiting was Bonanza. I just loved their salad bar. I thought that was the best. So many different choices. Plus, the steak was pretty darn good too.

What Is Bonanza?

If you do not remember Bonanza or are not familiar with it, I can help you with that.

According to the Bonanza Facebook page,

"Welcome to Bonanza country, where you'll find the spirit of the old west & a place to call home — for great food & great value."

"Bonanza Steakhouses serve great steaks, seafood & sides along with our something-for-everyone buffet."

Former Bonanza Locations Are Easy To Spot

Of course, like many restaurants, a Bonanza is pretty easy to spot because the building is unique looking. So, even if it is out-of-business, you can notice one even without a big sign out front.

It is rare to find a former Bonanza restaurant that was closed and just left abandoned. Most of them have been taken over by another business or torn down. This one was basically just left as is. That is very cool.

You Are Not Going To Believe What They Found In This Abandoned Bonanza

I was just talking about this a little earlier in my story. One of my favorite parts of going to Bonanza was for the salad bar. It was so amazing filled with so many delicious items. Plus, you could keep going back up for more.

There was still a salad bar inside of the restaurant. Left just like it was on the last day it was open. A new owner could probably use it without a problem. Check it out for yourself.
