Rumors and folklore about the "Lake Winnebago Water Monster" took me down a Google "Rabbit Hole" that I couldn't get out of. What in the hell is going on!

This creature from the water in Lake Winnebago in Wisconsin, has a LARGE appetite. Rumor has it, the water monster enjoys eating deer, elk, and even moose when it gets hungry. So wait, it's SO BIG that it will take down a MOOSE, and this thing is in a lake? I would be swimming in a pool thank you very much!

So here's the skinny on this not so skinny "fish monster." It would apparently would wait along the channel into the Fox River, to get ready to devour it's next LARGE meal. The locals were so scared, that boating, fishing, going near the water...out of the question.

At one point some men notice a large, dark "foam like" item in the water...It was our buddy the "Lake Winnebago Monster." Now depending on the website you visit, it's dead now, or maybe alive...Also it have children that live in Lake Winnebago and still swallow large animals.

One of the stories is that it washed up on the shore, and ate a deer ANTLERS AND ALL, and when the locals carved it open the deer was found. Ew.

Lake Winnebago is located in East Central, Wisconsin so if you want to take a fishing trip this spring or summer...don't go there.
