Did you ever wonder what is the most unique job in Illinois? You do? Great, because I have the answer. As explained at the Washington Post:

Using job data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, Pew analyzed the overall prevalence of certain professionals nationwide. They then compared the expected concentration relative to a state’s population to the actual concentration, to calculate the most unique job in each state, which are given on the map above.

The Washington Post's "Know More" blog has a nice infographic on the findings. But, to save you time I'll reveal Illinois' most unique job is:

Grounds Maintenance Worker! Hmmm, that's not so exciting. In Wisconsin the most unique job is Foundry Mold Maker. In Iowa it's soil and plant scientist. Florida is home to an high percentage of athletes (no doubt drawn to the weather and absence of an income tax), while Hawaii features dancers and New York boasts fashion designers.
