This is so cool the Field Museum in Chicago will be introducing, next week, their own their own line of beer that's based off an ancient Peruvian recipe.

Check this out. According to this ABC7 Chicago article, The Field Museum "partnered with Off Color Brewing to create a version of the ancient Peruvian recipe of the Wari people, which is made of purple corn and molle berries."

The recipe was discovered  when "researchers and collaborators uncovered relics of a Wari brewery dated between 600 and 1050 AD in southern Peru." Apparently the combination of the two ingredients make a tasty and flavorful corn beer.

Hmm.. corn beer. Interesting. I don't think I've ever had a corn beer. Have you? I'd be willing to try it just to see what it tastes like. Wouldn't you?

By the way the beer, or I should say, Wari Ale will be available at a special Field Museum event on March 3rd, then ready for the public consumption on March 7th at the Museums Field Bistro. It will also be available at other retailers, which have yet to be named.

I think that's interesting and cool at the same time.
