Politicians and diapers must be changed often, and for the same reason.

It's no secret that regardless of what side of the aisle you sit on, Chicago politics needs some serious change.

Former Illinois Governor Pat Quinn has collected enough signatures to get the issue on the ballot but there could be a roadblock.

WGN - ...The referendum still has to get by state law that limits three referenda per election.

The City Council already has three on the ballot.

Quinn argues his referendum would take precedence.

An election board hearing officer is expected to rule on that next week.

The decision to allow the referendum on the ballot is expected to reach the Illinois Supreme Court.

It seems like it's about a 50/50 shot of happening this year. If it doesn't get to appear on this year's ballot it should be a very high priority for the next one.
