Over the last couple of years, we've seen several major retailers lay off personnel and shutter some of their stores in the hopes of keeping the business afloat. For some of these retailers, it's just postponing the inevitable shut-down of the entire chain, but for others, it's due to underperformance of stores in certain markets.
