Ogle County deputies say a driver was traveling 121 mph in a 55 mph zone on Route 2 before being stopped Saturday evening.

This is something that my late father-in-law knew a lot about. According to my wife and her brothers, their dad knew every single worthwhile backroad in the entire state. He knew them all because it was his life-long habit to avoid paying tolls using whatever legal means necessary.

This was very surprising to see. In fact, if there was no photogenic proof it would be unbelievable.

It seems kind of strange to be talking about Fall colors when we're currently looking at temperatures in the low to mid 90s, but here we are, less than a month before the Autumnal Equinox, or first day of Fall.
