The cicada invasion in Illinois is no joke. People are really scared because there are so many cicadas everywhere. These noisy, flying bugs are taking over, and it’s causing a lot of panic.

As soon as cicadas arrived in Illinois, we couldn't help but wonder when the "Cicadapocalpyse" would be over. We might have an answer. There's hope!

Very soon, not one but two different cicada broods will simultaneously emerge from the ground in Illinois by the billions (some estimates have the number reaching 1 trillion or more). Some places in the state will have it worse than others, but there's no doubt that their coming emergence will probably be one for the record books.
