Black Friday has come and gone once again. You probably saw some of the news reports that evening showing people going crazy and behaving horribly in some stores around the nation. Some folks engaged in pushing and shoving, arguing over items, throwing punches, and even stealing things from children...

We've all seen it. Hopefully, we all haven't done it. I'm talking about parking illegally in a parking spot reserved for someone with a disability. I once witnessed a guy get the tongue-lashing of a lifetime for knowingly parking in a handicap spot, then compounding the infraction by flipping the bird to several people who commented on his selfishness and lack of consideration...

These folks at Praia da Piedade, Recife, Brazil had their beach day ruined (or at least made far more interesting than it would have been) by a fast-moving storm that produced a water tornado, or waterspout. Hard to believe that no one was killed (or even seriously injured) when you see the wind power this waterspout brings to the beach party...

Many observers were concerned about the readiness of Sochi, Russia to host the most recent Winter Olympics. However, outside of some struggles in the first few days of the Games things seemed to run according to plan. That might not be the case with the next Summer Games, to be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil...
