Blood Moon

As if the excitement of it being Election Day weren't enough (and, it's really not), Illinoisans who get themselves out of bed a bit earlier than usual get a sky-show tomorrow morning that we won't see again for another three years: A total blood moon lunar eclipse.

If you enjoy looking at the sky for a celestial show, you should know that Illinois is getting a chance to see not one, but two lunar eclipses this year. The first one happens this Sunday night, and best of all, at a fairly reasonable hour.

As I told you yesterday on this website, it's a pretty great week for sky-watching here in the Rockford area. You've got the International Space Station flying over multiple times, and tomorrow morning you've the Super Flower Blood Moon Eclipse.

It was very cool, although it was also very early.
