Some Stateline Schools Are Dismissing Early Due To Weather

This morning was spring-like but the weather is supposed to take a drastic turn this afternoon. 

With a wintery-mix in the forecast for early afternoon, several school districts have announced early dismissals.

As of now, the following school districts will be dismissing early on January 11, 2018.

• Eastland District #308
• Lena-Winslow District #202
• Orangeville District #203
• Warren District #205
• Durand District #322
• Freeport District #145
• Rockford District #205 school activities cancelled
• Spectrum school closing at 3 pm. No after-school activities.

Rockford Park District has announced the following closings as well:

UW Health Sports Factory

• Closing at 4:30 p.m.
• Rockford Volleyball practice - cancelled
• Adult Basketball games - cancelled

Washington Park Community Center

• Closing at 6 p.m.
• Teen Evening program – cancelled

Indoor Sports Center at Mercyhealth Sportscore

• Closing at 4 p.m.
• High School boys soccer game – cancelled

Lewis Lemon Community Center

• After school and teen evening program – cancelled

Snow Park at Alpine Hills

• Closed tonight

Riverview Ice House

• Closing at 5 p.m.

Carlson Ice Arena

• Closing at 5 p.m.

Sapora Playworld

• Closing at 5 p.m.

Nicholas Conservatory& Gardens

• Closed at 3 p.m.
