Romance Isn’t Just for the Young

The nicest words I've heard this week came from my daughter, Molly, who saw this video and said, "That'll be you and Mom, Dad." I wasn't aware of what she was referring to, so I leaned in and watched over her shoulder.

It was a video taken at an airport arrivals area. Unlike many we see, this one didn't involve returning soldiers (which, to me, never get old), or a clever flash mob proposal. It was just an older guy, waiting for (I'm guessing) his wife.

I know pop culture would have us believe that flowers and romance are reserved for the young, but this illustrates quite well that for some, it works at any age.

I intend to prove my daughter to be correct in her prediction.
