How exactly does a third grader from Rockford change your electric bill?

Well, Lauren from Rockford Lutheran Academy is doing just that.

Commonwealth Edison held a contest called "Power Pictures" where they asked students at different schools to draw something based on different themes, such as electrical safety, according to WREX.

Lauren, who won $250 and her school received a $1,500 donation, was one of the six winners chosen.

Her artwork will be on ComEd's billing envelopes which you will be seeing in your mailbox soon.

See, that's how a third grader from Rockford changes your electric bill. She makes it more colorful and bright.

Congratulations to Lauren and Rockford Lutheran Academy!
