UPDATE: 15-Year-Old Killed In Rockford Shooting
The Winnebago County Coroner's office has identified the victim in the shooting as 15-year-old Martavius Lewers of Rockford

Rockford police are investigating a deadly shooting that occurred Tuesday night on the city's west side.
According to a press release, officers West State Street and Day Avenue in reference to a call for multiple gun shots being fired. During the investigation, information was received of a shooting victim located in the 2700 block of West State.
Officers found an unresponsive male there who was suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim died as a result of his injury. His name is not being released at this time.
