Rockford Man Found Guilty in 2011 Shooting Death
ROCKFORD, Ill. (AP) — A jury has found a 28-year-old Rockford man guilty of first-degree murder in connection with a 2011 shooting.
The Rockford Register-Star reports that Donald P. Falls was convicted Tuesday before Winnebago County Judge Ronald White.
Prosecutors say Falls opened fire at 30-year-old Harold Anding, who was in the passenger seat of a car stopped at an intersection in Rockford. Anding, also a Rockford resident, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and died after being dropped off at a hospital emergency room.
Falls also was convicted Tuesday of aggravated discharge of a firearm. He faces sentencing on Jan. 27.
