A day after a Stateline dentist crashed his small plane trying to land at Rockford-Chicago International Airport, we have a statement from the airport.

WREX - Right now, RFD's primary concern is for the four injured passengers and their families, and we extend our thoughts and prayers to those affected. We would also like to thank the first responders who were on scene and assisted with the rescue efforts.

That statement was made by RFD executive director Mike Dunn. Other than the identity of the pilot, area dentist Dr. Edward B. Noakes III of Camelot Endodontics, there have been scant details of the crash.

There have been no investigative crews out to the site yet and there has been no update on the condition of the passengers.

The airport is fully functional as of now and there are no reported delays.
