ROCKFORD, Ill. (AP) — Police are investigating the deaths of a 40-year-old man and 38-year-old woman shot in a Rockford home.

The Winnebago County Coroner's Office said Anthony and Angela Singleton died Sunday. Police say they are not looking for a suspect at this time but they haven't labeled the incident a murder-suicide.

Rockford police responded to a call at 12:30 p.m. Sunday and Anthony Singleton was pronounced dead at the scene. Angela Singleton was taken to a hospital where she later died.

Authorities say the two were dating and had children together but were not married.

The coroner's office says autopsies are pending.
