Pearl Lake Beach Is Opening This Weekend With Restrictions
My family will be on staycation in a couple weeks, and thanks to COVID-19, a lot of the places we typically go during a staycation are not open or we don't feel safe taking our kids to right now. So, what's a family to do besides sit home and drink?
We have trips to the park and playgrounds on our to-do list. We'll be doing swimming in our inflatable backyard pool and a lot of bike riding, but I've been on the hunt to find something "new" to do in the Stateline.
Yesterday I saw an announcement from Pearl Lake Resort in South Beloit on Facebook, and I immediately was like, "Yes! This is it!". Then I read into it a little further, and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a tad disappointed.
Don't get me wrong, I think it's great that Pearl Lake Resort is finally able to reopen their beach for the 2020 season, but I'm bummed we can't just show up to spend our day there as we've done in the past.
At this point, my family does not own anything to use for camping at the resort, but if you do, it looks like there are still reservation spots available in the upcoming weeks. Book your spot now, by clicking here.
Hope you all have a SAFE and happy Independence Day weekend!
