You'd think with all the money this Chicago baseball team dumped into stuff around the ballpark it would be higher on the list.

You'd think with ownership selling off its best assets for unproven talent would make the fans forget about the talent on the field in favor of shiny new toys outside of it.

This isn't just coming from a salty Chicago Cubs fan but apparently, it's the truth if you believe a recent study ranking pregame experiences in Major League Baseball.

I mean, I'm definitely a salty Cubs fan, but all of the stuff outside of the park never made a bit of difference to me if it meant the team was good.

Now the Lovable Losers are bad again, and even the stuff outside of The Friendly Confines isn't enough to make up for it.

According to Bookies.com, the Chicago Cubs rank in the bottom third in Major League Baseball in pregame experiences.

What are those you ask? Bookies.com took a close look at the Miles from Center City, Fan Sentiment Poll, Tailgating, and Experience Around Stadium.

Based on those four metrics, Bookies.com came up with total points scored and the Cubs aren't in good shape.

They ranked dead last in tailgating, 6th from the worst in the Fan Sentiment, and 8th worst in Miles From Center City.

I knew going in the Cubs were going to be ranked lowly on the tailgating score. It's non-existent at Wrigley. About the only type of tailgating that happens at the ballpark is while you're trying to find a spot to park at Clark and Addison.

In case you're wondering, yes, the Chicago White Sox scored better than the Cubs in this one too.

So the Sox are better during the games than the Cubbies right now and it looks like they're better than them before it too.

It's going to be a long 2022 baseball season.
