New Business Moving in the Former Old Country Buffet Location
It's out with the old, and in with the new at the former Old Country Buffet location on Perryville Rd.As someone who loves buffets, I have to say I shed a tear when the Old Country Buffet building at 515 S Perryville Rd was torn down last month. In fact, I'm still upset from the time Old County Buffet moved from East State Street and took over the business known as Hometown Buffet. I always thought Hometown's food was superior.
Well, now that the building has been torn down, you may have been wondering what new business will take its place? The Answer: La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries!
The Rockford Register Star Reports that the furniture store will be completed by the end of 2017.
Nothing wrong with recliners, chairs and sofas, but I was hoping for a mega-buffet! I guess I'll just have to travel a little further south on Perryville to get my buffet quota, as Golden Corral is still there
